2nd You have a great business experience and started several companies that recently a company called Future SEA that you are still involved. Please tell us yourentrepreneurial aspirations and your philosophy.
Future SEA Technologies Inc. The company was just an idea. Myself and two partners one of them my husband, the company was founded. What a whirl wind of excitement, growth, learning, travel and opportunity. Suddenly we had almost 40 employees and offices in Chile, Canada, Japan and Tasmania. I have a lot of juice as at the border and the front edge of new, cleaner technologies for aquacultureIndustry. Working with others to solve their problems and add value to their lives and their businesses. Not to forget on the water and work with all varieties of sea and freshwater fish. I was like an animal behaviorist Dr. Kees Groot, crossed trained on the man by the PI work and training with my father in England.
I think for me is my philosophy about business is to realize what I want, I have a dream and dream BIG. I always believe that Iit can do if I think I can. I imagine what I want to produce and then begin to manifest and create. I ask the universe for what I do then want to experience space for magic. I believe that it is up to the universe for me to offer with the opportunities and connections together with the money. We raised over 10 million capital investment in our business. That was an experience, only on its own.
I think that this 13th Century poet and mystic, says it all "Let the beauty we love bewhat we do "Rumi
3rd They have also lived and businesses in other cultures in places like Chile and Tazmania and are fully bilingual in Spanish. Please tell us about the intercultural experience.
I loved traveling and working in these other areas. Especially work and traveling in Chile. It was so exciting for me because it was like at the border. Everyone in Chile is an entrepreneur. Ideas are always flowing and their creative ways to make money. Ioccur as in the situation with an idea, do something, get feedback and course correction until it comes out right. In Chile, we have only frickin did it. Here in Canada there was always so much paper work and the work was always to convince someone about the idea at first. I think that's what I loved about Chile ... We just tried it on a small scale ... tested, modified and then made it possible. I also know from my experience, that no matter which language or religion or belief, thepeople had, in fact we were all equal. We are the same physical make-up, have the same needs for survival ... We had based all have different perspectives on our cultural, and other education. I love to see things with different eyes.
I think I'm at work in those other places, because I am flexible adaptable, curious and open to new things and new ways to learn successfully. I'm always curious about the people, culture, country and always try to speak in their native languageTongue. Even if this meant a fool out of me. I gained the respect of at least tried, and eventually succeeded. I am looking always looking for new opportunities and the good in people. Treat them with respect and openness to see to what their path. Having gratitude and was grateful for every moment and the situation is also a big plus.
4th You bought Heriz (TM) sailing for women a few years ago. Please tell us about the history of the enterprise, and why youdecided to buy it.
Heriz (TM) was started by Trish Birdsell-Smith in the late 1980s. She had a passion for the advancement of women sailors and improve their awareness of the differences between men and women the way of learning. After my return from Chile came back a few years ago I was working on another big project here in Canada. One day I had a vision, which I suspect is informed. I was not sure what that means exactly, and asked the universe to explain. I got an answerthat dealing with women and sailing.
One day I saw Trish ... we talked, and they mentioned that they go offshore for a few years. I asked her what she would do with the business and she mentioned selling or folding. My vision suddenly came to me and I said, "What about me?" She was excited and thought I would be the best fit ... at the same time asked how I do it with such a heavy schedule of travel. Well, one to another and within a few months led - 15 December 2003 Iwas the new owner of the company. I did not regretted it and am so glad that I add a value of so many women's life. Bringing experience, passion, vision, creativity, transformation processes to help the women to have confidence in sailing, and helps them to be transferred to many other areas of their life to me is important.
